The New Idol Time Pripara Seasons 4

Season 4 Cast with their microphones

Performance Microphones are the Microphones an Idol uses to perform with. They are typically shown at the end of a Cyalume change. Every idol who has performed in PriPara has their own unique mic with the color and style varying depending on the type of Idol or their Brand in most cases. Idols always only use their own specific mic.

Style

Originally the microphones were basic microphone but heavily decorated to match its user.

During Season 2, SoLaMi♡Dressing's mics had small changes such as small wings added to their microphones to match their Cyalume coords to correspond with the Cyalume Charm.

In Season 3, the microphones gain another modification to fit the characters Super Cyalume coords. They lose their wings and gain a plain pearl base with gold accents and hearts. In Episode 117, a ring was added to the bottom above the crystal sphere. During a performance, certain Idols could also gain the Cyalume Dream Mic.

In season 4 the Microphones remain fairly plain but gain the addition of a half wing-shaped handle with a glowing accent depending on their type or brand. A heart rests beneath the mouth piece.

Trivia

  • Dorothy and Leona's mics share the same design, but have different color schemes. This may be yet another reference on how they are twins.
  • Shion was the first idol whose Mouth Piece included a unique feature. These being tiny devil horns.
  • Cosmo and Meganee were the first characters to share the same microphone design not counting the West Twins. Followed by Faruru and Garuru.
    • The microphone used by Cosmo and Meganee appears to be the generic microphone in Pripara.
  • The top sphere acts as a voice receiver. They also all change color to match their respective Cyalume Coord during Cyalume Change.
  • Mirei, Sophie, and Leona hold their mics the same way, and so does Laala and Dorothy.
    • Laala  and Sophie also share another way of holding her mic with Shion, Faruru, Hibiki, Fuwari, and Ajimi.
  • Faruru and Garuru's Microphone is the only one to be available as an item in the arcade game.
  • Out of the original six Idols, in Season 2, Leona and Dorothy's mics are the only ones without a heart ornament.
  • Pepper's Microphone is the third to have a "tail", with Ajimi's having a bee stinger sticking out of hers, and Aroma's a devil tail.
    • This also makes Pepper's Microphone the second to be animal themed.
